Isckon Food Relief Foundation is a renowned NGO with centres all over the globe, catering free meals to children in schools every day. The Chairman and Trustee of this NGO, also popularly known as Annaamrita, Dr. Narendra Desai, reached out to me for one of their kitchens which was managed by Radha Krishna Prabhuji.
To set up a kitchen of this scale, almost 3.5 Cr (INR) is required. A single kitchen of Isckon consists of 80 to 125 people who produce and cater meals before 12 noon to schools for their lunch-time break. On a daily basis, almost 45,000 to 65,000 meals are prepared and delivered by the staff.

My long-term client, Dr. Krishna Varma owns a bungalow in a village near Shahpur, India on a 7-acre land, with a huge farm land. Being the Principal of the English-medium High School there, she was staying in the house with her son at the time of my visit. Her husband, being a Commodore in the Indian Navy, was out at work located far away at Port blair & South Mumbai.
